From my native San Rafael-Mendoza in Argentine I discovered that I wanted to be part of the wine family, I moved to Burgundy where I developed the career I had never expected. I learned to see wine in a holistic way. And I discovered myself as a Terroir explorer and seeker, analysing each wine according to its geo-sensorielle approch. I studied under Roger Bessis, Jean Claude Fournieux and Michel Feuillat classes. I obtained a degree in vine science. Then a Master in Oenology (DNO) and later a Master in International Trade of Wines and Spirits.
I learnt how to make barrels and foudres working for one year in a Cooperage company.
I worked eight years in Burgundy in Volnay, Meursault, Corton Charlemagnethen in Bordeaux: Pauillac, Haut Médoc, Lalande de Pomerol and Saint Emilion. In Champagne (Möet & Chandon) and ten years in Châteauneuf du Pape as a Technical Director for Domaine du Vieux Télégraphe.
In 2010 I have created my own wines under the Clos Ultralocal brand, making in Mendoza, Argentina and in Cahors, France, establishing the first winery to produce wines with the same varietal and brand name on two continents.
In 2014, we created LB&A Consulting with two friends and started an exciting adventure of interpreting every place where I have the chance to make wine. In 2021, I decided to go my own way to dedicate myself to a personal project. Making wines and consulting as well. Oenoleg was born in Mallorca, Spain, where I live with my family.
Oenoleg is the consulting activity created by Leo Borsi in 2014 and which has evolved in terms of experience and internationalisation. It is everything that was initially technical, but which over time has become a method of interpreting landscapes and their habitants. Bringing to them a light of tradition, empiricism and science.
Our aim is to optimise and calibrate investments for each type of company, trying to enhance the value of the places of origin and to offer our professionalism and passion in our work.
